Diabetes Group Education Classes

The diabetes group is a series of 4 classes that are run by our Health Promotion staff. Group members learn together and are able to share their experiences with each other.

The classes cover these areas:

Session 1 -Overview of diabetes and self-care principles
Session 2 -Nutrition basics for diabetes
Session 3 -Treatment of diabetes
Session 4 -Prevention and treatment of diabetes complications

Classes are held on Fridays from 9:30 am - 11:00 am. Call 503-3087 to find out how to join or ask your health care provider to make a referral.

Individual Diabetes Education
One on one instruction and counseling is available by making an appointment. Instruction is provided by an APRN who is a Certified Diabetes Educator.

Individual Nutrition Counseling
One on one counseling by a Registered Dietitian is scheduled by appointment.
